About me
Ever stood in front of a group of French lawyers to explain advanced-level English grammar? I have. A lot!
Years of teaching English to adult professionals around the world means I’m a whizz at understanding how people receive information – what they need, how to give it, and how to get results. I’ve also got an intricate knowledge of the English language and how to use it to achieve what you need.
This comes in handy for writing clear, concise, and correct information in plain language – something I’ve done for the last 6 years writing for conservation companies and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Yeah, but can your get your boots dirty, I hear you ask. Sure can!
Whether it’s running around King Country hills chasing sheep and pulling ragwort as a kid, walking the odd trapline or two, or dodging cowpats to consult with farmers – I’ve done it.
Jumping into the heart of a business and seeing things from every angle means I can write information that works for everyone.
I make it … understandable. Even for French lawyers!
The technical stuff!
I have a Graduate Diploma of Information Design and I’m a member of:
Technical Communicators Association of New Zealand (board member)
Plain Language Association International.
